Didactic Training Course in biofeedback:

Widener University's Applied Psychophysiology Course for Certification in Biofeedback

The course is a BCIA approved didactic education course that covered the 48 hours of the BCIA Blueprint of Knowledge. You may also obtain APA-approved continuing education credit for psychologists. There is an additional charge of $100 to receive CEC from Widener University. This is the only BCIA certification course taught by an instructor who is a clinician, a professor and a past BCIA Board chair.

This course is NOT Mac/Apple computer compatible.

Widener University's Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer 45 continuing education credits for psychologists upon the satisfactory completion of this course. This course is approved by BCIA to offer 48 hours in General Biofeedback

Order the Widener University's Applied Psychophysiology Course

Dr. De Bease is a BCIA-approved trainer in biofeedback (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance). The course material is designed to meet the didactic requirements for BCIA (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance) certification in biofeedback. It is a BCIA-approved accredited didactic program. The course content includes 10 PowerPoint lectures with audio. Each lecture has a quiz to make sure your students are understanding the material.

Biofeedback Home Study Program includes 10 PowerPoint lectures. A syllabus will guide you through your lectures and reading material. Required course text book, Biofeedback/Schwartz and Tutor software/Shaffer must be purchased separately and are not included in this CD. Purchase here or through biofeedback vendors.

1. History-Concepts-Learning - This first lecture entitled "Biofeedback Psychophysiological Training" covers the elements in the BCIA blueprint in under section I Orientation to Biofeedback. The lecture answers "what is biofeedback and what is psychophysiology" and covers applied psychophysiology, including a history of psychophysiology, cybernetic and learning theory and biofeedback, definitions of biofeedback, a history of biofeedback, clinical applications of biofeedback training, the history of EMG and EEG biofeedback, important research studies, popular biofeedback techniques, feedback schedules, efficacy, biofeedback and the mind-body movement, and complimentary alternative medicine.
